There are many advanced procedures to beautify the skin and it includes ultraformer III and ultratherapy. Both of these procedures use HIFU devices; a high intensity focused ultrasound that helps address visible signs of aging. While the two are so identical, they differ in many ways. In this article, we will discuss the difference between ultraformer III and ulthera (ultraformer iii กับ ulthera ต่าง กัน ยัง ไง, term in Thai).

    Understanding how HIFU works

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is an advanced technology offering a non-invasive way of beautifying the skin, specifically lifting and tightening wrinkles and sagging skin on the face and neck. The skin has the ability to self-heal for it naturally produces substances that maintain the skin’s youthful glow such as elastin and collagen. However, as a person ages, the level of these substances decrease leading to visible wrinkling and sagging of the skin. It’s a good thing that HIFU has the ability to correct these skin issues. It firms the skin by targeting the deeper layer of the skin. It delivers wavelengths causing micro-injury and activating the formation of elastin and collagen.

The differences between ultherapy and ultraformer III

Both procedures are non-invasive and make use of HIFU device. They are performed by skincare professionals and aestheticians to address signs of skin aging, specifically lifting and tightening the skin. They target the deeper layer of the skin and although they are quite similar, they too have some differences. These are the following:

    • They differ in the way they deliver energy waves. Ulthera delivers wave energy in a straight line using a single transducer. On the other hand, ultraformer III makes use of different cartridges thereby targeting a specific area and depth within the skin. In other words, ultraformer III is more précised in delivering wave lengths, which is an advantage when treating smaller areas of the body, specifically the delicate areas of the face.
    • They greatly differ in focus and intensity. Although ulthera and ultraformer III can reach up to 4.5mm skin depth, they have differences in focus and intensity, which can greatly affect the depth of treatment. It also affects various targeted tissue layers. Ulthera is primarily used to address problems involving the superficial layer of the skin. For deeper layer of skin tissues, the best procedure would be ultraformer III. It is perfect for subcutaneous fatty layers and SMAS layer of the skin.
    • Both procedures can target facial tissues, but they differ in areas of the face. ulthera is ideal to use in the upper cheeks, brow area, and forehead. On the other hand, ultraformer III can target various areas of the face such as the eye area, neck, and jawline. In fact, it is effective in targeting sagging areas below the brow and under the eyes. If you are having problems with those areas, then try considering ultraformer III. It has been one of the most advanced treatments and many people are loving the benefits it brings. It does cost more, but you will certainly get the best value for your money.
